The Stone Statue is a unique, salvageable large sculpture in Endless Ocean 2. It can be found in Cortica River Upstream as part of the Legend of the Giant treasure rumor. When the Multisensor detects one of these, it is shown to be made out of stone and high-density materials.

In-Game

Collection Description

Location

This salvage can be found using the clues of the Legend of the Giant treasure rumor. After the rumor appears in the notebook, it is located in the Cortica River Upstream at coordinates D-1, against the wall to the left of the entrance to the Sacred Chamber.

Appraisal Reward

The reward for appraising the Stone Statue is 13,000P. After subtracting the cost of appraisal for a large sculpture (260P), the net gain is 12,740P. Nancy Young also gifts the player the Ancient Statue, an item they can use to decorate their Private Reef.

Notes

  • The texture, description, and Japanese name of this salvage heavily reference the 1915 partially lost silent horror film "Der Golem". The film stars a golem found in the ruins of an old synagogue who is brought to life, falls in love with a human woman, and upon having his advances rejected, goes on a murder spree.
    • This salvage's status as unique likely has more to do with old Jewish legends of golems, with the most common modern iteration being that of a golem created to protect the Jewish people from persecution.
