An event dive is an online event in Endless Ocean Luminous that periodically occurs for a limited time. Accessed via the main menu during the event's duration, these shared dives take place on a set stage with predetermined creature placements often focusing on unusual circumstances, including large schools of atypical sea life, creatures of extreme sizes, or increased numbers of rare creatures. Event dives typically have much shorter time limits than shared dives, with most being limited to thirty minutes per dive.
Unlike shared dives, event dives do not provide the player with a Dive-Site ID if the stage's map has been at least 80% completed. Exploring at least 80% of an event stage's map still provides the player with a similar image to standard dives, which can be screenshotted, but the Dive-Site ID section is empty. This means the stage cannot be accessed again in a solo dive once the event has concluded.
Event dives feature a separate leaderboard from standard shared dives, which is only open for the duration of the event. Once the event has concluded, the respective leaderboard will also close, though the player's final ranking and the top players in each category can still be viewed for around a week following the event.

Notes[]
- Numerous event dives have included nods to the developer Arika's previous games. For instance, the inclusion of the number "99" in several event dives is in reference to the battle-royale style games Arika has developed for the Nintendo Switch, most notably Tetris 99.
- Arika have long been connected to the Tetris IP, having also developed the Tetris: The Grand Master series.
