The reward for appraising one Empty Chest is 190P. After subtracting the cost of appraisal for a mysterious chest (300P), the net gain is negative at -110P.
Notes
This is one of the least valuable salvages to appraise in the game, losing the player 110P upon appraisal. To avoid losing money, it is best not to salvage any mysterious chests (aside from unique salvages) made only of wood and metal materials, as only the Empty Chest has this distinction.
