Creature Log

The Creature Log in-use.

The Creature Log is a gameplay element in Endless Ocean Luminous, which allows the player to access information about any of the 578 species they have scanned. It functions very similarly to the marine encyclopedias seen in Endless Ocean and Endless Ocean 2.

In-Game[]

Creature Log Creature View

Viewing a creature's entry in the Creature Log.

Found in the main menu under the Logs section, the Creature Log is used to track each of the 578 creatures that the player has scanned. It can also be accessed at any time during a dive, by accessing the menu with .

When a creature has been selected in the Creature Log, the information detailed includes a brief description of the creature (which can be read aloud by Sera using the button), the number of times the player has scanned it, and the largest and smallest sizes of it that the player has found. A bronze, silver, or gold medal is displayed near one of these measurements if it happens to be within the record size threshold for the creature in question.

The player also has the ability to switch the display by pressing , allowing the creatures to be represented by photos they have taken, and to sort by categories.

Several achievements are tied to completion of the Creature Log, such as those tied to the amount of creatures the player has registered, and finding gold medal creature sizes.

In Endless Ocean Luminous, the creature log can be sorted into ten different categories, each containing different creatures:
