The Amazon River Dolphin is the only species of freshwater dolphin to appear in either game, and only appears in Endless Ocean: Blue World.
In-Game Description
"This pinkish dolphin has a long snout and eyes that have become smaller over time because of limited visibility in the murky waters of the Amazon. They rely heavily on sound waves to navigate their environment.
[Mysterious Lover...]
According to legend, when night falls this dolphin turns into an attractive man who seduces the village women. There is another story suggesting that the dolphin changes into a beautiful woman and seduces the men."
Location
These dolphins can only be found in Endless Ocean 2's Twilight Temple area, swimming in circles around the Sacrificial Well.
Behavior
There are two or three of these creatures, and they swim about aimlessly. They like the sound of the Sea Whistle, as do the other species of dolphin and whale.
Trivia
- This is the only dolphin that can clear the branches in the Midstream River and the only one that can do that is a pure pink one that the player has to befriend.
- These can be found day and night.
- This is one of Jean-Eric's favorite creatures
